We were picking our suitcases up when my mum phoned me. She was already waiting outside the gate with my dad and Jaime´s parents. We put our Canadian flags around the neck and we passed through the gate like we were winners. I hugged my mum after three months since she visited me in Toronto. I didn´t cry... basically because I couldn´t believe it. I was happy because I was with all the Spanadians but I didn´t have that knot in my stomach that used to make us cry. I saw all my friends´ families and that made me realize that was the end of our trip. People had to take trains and even planes to arrive home. I had to say bye to modt of them... people who I spent a lot of moments with, that understood me when I was in my worst. I hate saying goodbye...
I arrived in Ocaña and my mum made salmorejo, jamón and croquetas for me. After that, I took a nap after being 30 hours without sleeping. Later at night I got ready to see my family and my friends. Again, my friends got a surprise party for me... they blinded me and we went to my friends house. I couldn´t wait longer to hug them. We ate, drank and danced for a long time. I couldn´t have asked for a better night.
I also saw a lot of people in my class as well as a lot of people I knew. I ran towards them and I hugged everybody. I also cried, as I couldn´t believe I was finally with them, I was finally at home.

Last days
I couldn´t believe my last week was there. I had around 7 days to do everytging I wanted to do before leaving.
I did my last exam at Eastview SS, it was French and everybody said "Bon voyage" to me. It was not that sad because my friend Allegra was waiting for me outside to go to her cottage !! We picked up our friend Sai and we arrived there 45 min later.
I had been in her cottage before and it is one of my favorite places in the world !! We were there for two days and we went swimming, boating, tubing... We had so much fun :)
On Wednesday, Allegra drove me home and after that I went to a dinner with all the International Students from Brazil, Germany and Spain. We went to a very fancy restaurant at Downtown Barrie and we also took pictures by he Water front. We had to say good bye to people who I´ll never see again...
It was not all. On Thursday my friends made a surprise party to me. They picked me up and blinded me. We drove for 30 min to end up in my friends house. There were streamers, ballons, flags... All my friends were there and I couldn´t be more excited!!! We ate some snacks, we swam in the pool and we also watched a video they made for me with all of our pictures and some videos thay had of us :) We played some games, we had dinner and we went to the beach to take more pictures. It was time to say good bye because it was the next day when I had to leave. It was really hard because after all, I had spent so many moments with all of them. They were my friends and we became really close, I´m pretty sure I can count on them as they can count on me. I can´t wait to see them again. Of course we cried, it is really hard to say bye to people you don´t know if you will see them again ...
Next day was my last day. I spent it packing ... and I have to say that it was difficult back in August when I had to pack everything for 10 months but it is even more difficult to pack those 10 months in two siutcases under 23kg.
It was time to leave home and say good bye to the doggies ... I had to take the bus to the airport at 6pm and before that we went to the Water front to have some poutine lol I took some pictures with my family but the moment arrived ... the moment when I saw all the Spanadians from Simcoe in that bus. I had to say the last good bye with the family I had spent 10 months. They made me feel at home and be part of the family, that made me cry so much ...
That was my last week in Canada, and I have to say I loved it!! I will remember this for ever, thanks everyone. I can say Canada is my second home :) See you soon.

Almost done
One week, ONE MORE WEEK.
Last Wednesday was my last day at Eastview Secondary School and I already wrote 2 exams... I hate starting to say goodbye to my friends and teacher, this is harder than I thought it would be. People start saying: "I don´t know if I´m gonna see you next week, but ... I hope you have a safe trip back to Spain, I´ll miss you"
It remains me when back in August I said bye to my friends and family, with the only difference that I knew I was going to see them again, but I don´t what´s going to happen with the people here. I´d love to come here again but who knows what´s going to happen (?) There are people I´m sure I´m not gonna see again, and that makes me so sick and so mad ... :,(
I have started packing ... It was hard to open my closet and choose just the necessary things for 10 months, but is´s even harder to pack those 10 months in two suitcases... I have not only clothes, but books, notes, presents, and a lot of memories that also need room.
It seemed to be a everlasting journey, but I realize it´s almost done. I´ve met so many people that helped me a lot and made this year one of the most special years in my life. I´ve gone to so many places that I will never forget. I felt like at home and now I have to leave.
I have discovered this amazing country but I´ve also discovered myself. I left being a kid, that cried while saying goodbye to her mom... but now I feel I´m more mature and resposible. I tested and I impressed myself. I´ve been 10 months miles away home, I didn´t know anybody and I can say that 2 years ago I couldn´t be able to stay 2 months outside. It was hard and I had really tough times but I didn´t give up and I don´t regret it ... thanks to this I became more like an adult where I have found out my fears, weaknesses, hobbies and likes. This made me much stronger.
I´ll keep this trip forever and all my friends in my heart.

OTTAWA
CANADA´S CAPITAL :D
We went for four days and I couldn´t ask for a better weekend!
We left on Friday morning and after 6 hours driving we arrived there. Ottawa is a huge city in the province of Ontario, but it is right in the border with the province of Quebec, divided by the Ottawa river. In my opinion, Quebec is completely different, it is much more like an European area, and they speak French with a really funny accent haha. We stayed in a hotel in Quebec (the province, not the city) so that I had a chance to speak French, at least to try to speak it ;P
I went with my friend Natalia, from Vigo, that is staying in Orillia, and her host family, they are all really nice with me and I alway have a great time everytime I´m with them. Her hostmum, Heather, told us her cousin lived in Ottawa so we also had the chance to meet her and her family.
On Saturday we got ready to go to the city and we first went to the Market. It is outdoors and it remined me like the ones in Spain, there were plants, fruit, Canadian food, clothes, jewellery... and a lot of people. I loved it!! After that, we had a walk around the Parliament and we saw a guard change at the World War I monument, like the ones at Buckingham Palace when they played a bagpipe and they walked really straight, it was really cool!! At around 3pm, we got tickets to go to a touristic bus that went into the water, no kidding xdxd. We went arund Ottawa and we went boating around the river, where we saw really cool views.
We had so much fun that day!! At night, we went to Heathers cousins, Sharon and Len, to have dinner there. We had a great time and they were really nice with us. We talked about so maaaany things. Besides that, we also saw a racoon hahaha.
Sunday was as fun as the day before. We had breakfast with Heathers family again and we drove towards the Parliament House. We got tickes to visit it inside but before that Natalia and I went shopping at the downtown mall. The Parliament was absolutely great, we saw and learnt so many things. Furthermore, it was really interesting (idk if this is the right word tho) because of the assault that took place last October when a man went to the World War I monument (where we had been the day before) and shot one of the guards and killed him, after that the man ran towards the Parliament and went to the same tour we were doing that day.
Once we were done with the Parliament, we went out for dinner with Sharon and Len when we had to say goodbye to them. We were not ready to leave on Monday ...
We left at noon and it took us just 4 hours to get home. I arrived home and I was exhausted ......... too much fun and things to do just for a weekend haha.
I really liked Ottawa and I had so much fun with Natalia, Heather and Earl, thanks for inviting me :)
This is almost done, less than two weeks left and I can´t believe yet, so many things to do in only 10 days ...
